An Identification and Expression Analysis of the ABCG Genes Related to Benzaldehyde Transportation among Three Prunus Species

The plants of Prunus mostly bloom in early spring, and the flowers various species possess their individual floral scent characteristics; mume, especially, can volatilize a large amount benzenoid compounds into air during flowering phase. In order to elucidate molecular basis differences volatile capacity aromatic substances among flowers, endogenous headspace components expression ABCG genes were studied P. armeniaca, persica. We detected three by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), we found that benzaldehyde was key component. Meanwhile, volatilization efficiency mume armeniaca much higher than Furthermore, 130, 135, 133 ABC family members from persica identified, respectively. WGCNA analysis demonstrated candidate positively correlated with efficiency. Moreover, quantitative Real-time PCR indicated ABCG17 more likely be involved transmembrane transport benzaldehyde. This study aimed provide theoretical for elucidating further valuable information fragrant flower breeding Prunus.
